Hatch Consulting is playing a pivotal role in the construction of the new Tauhara Geothermal Power Station project, a remarkable endeavour set to deliver 174 MW of renewable energy to New Zealand, and the expansion of Te Huka III Geothermal Binary Power Station set to deliver an additional 51MW of renewable energy in Taupo.

Engaged by Contact Energy’s Major Projects team, Hatch is providing comprehensive contract management throughout the construction phase of these significant schedule-driven builds.

Collaborating closely with all contractors, including those responsible for commercial buildings, engineering, mechanical and civil aspects, Hatch Consulting’s goal is to ensure seamless coordination and timely completion of all project milestones.

With an investment of >$1 billion, these Geothermal Power projects mark Contact Energy’s commitment to expanding its geothermal power generation capacity. Construction commenced in early 2021 and is on track for completion by late 2024.
